Product Quality & Normal Variations

Our products are made individually for your order. We handle the materials carefully, but cutting, printing, and production can leave minor characteristics.

We distinguish normal production variation from flaws that materially affect appearance, safety, fit, or intended use.

Surface appearance

Minor buffing traces or tiny production marks that are not readily visible under normal viewing conditions and do not cast a noticeable shadow on the wall are considered acceptable production characteristics.

We replace verified manufacturing flaws that meaningfully affect the item’s appearance or intended use. A noticeable shadow caused by a material flaw is one way to assess its visual impact; a shadow is not the only test. Our assessment considers the item as normally displayed and used, rather than tiny marks apparent only through close-up inspection.

For wall-mounted products, normal viewing conditions mean viewing the item at its intended installation distance under ordinary room lighting. Close-up magnification or deliberately directed inspection lighting does not, by itself, establish a defect.

This allowance does not excuse cracks, incorrect printing, or problems that prevent the product from functioning as described.

Laser-cut edges

Laser cutting may leave a tiny bump or witness mark where the cutting path begins or ends.

A very small mark of this kind is a normal manufacturing characteristic when it does not materially affect appearance, safety, fit, or intended use.

Cracks, substantial chips, unsafe edges, or cutting irregularities that interfere with intended use should be reported for review.

Dimensions

Listed dimensions may be nominal or rounded. Very small differences can occur during production. This allowance does not cover a materially different size or failure to meet exact dimensions that we specifically agreed to provide.

For example, an item described as approximately 20 inches may measure slightly more or less. Any specific dimensional tolerance disclosed on the product page applies to that item.

If exact dimensions are essential for a fitted space, frame, or installation, contact us before ordering. Do not rely on a nominal or rounded measurement for a precision fit.

Color and material variation

Minor differences in material shade or printed color may occur. Refer to Custom Designs, Image Quality & Color Expectations for details.

Production adjustments

Minor placement or spacing adjustments may be necessary to accommodate cutting, hardware, or holders.

These adjustments should not materially change the submitted wording, artwork, or overall design. Substantial design changes require customer agreement.

Bowing or distortion

If your item appears bowed or distorted, photograph it and contact us.

Do not force it flat, apply heat, or attempt repairs before receiving guidance.

Reporting a quality concern

Follow Inspecting Your Order & Reporting a Problem. Provide an overall photograph and close-ups showing the concern and its impact under ordinary viewing conditions. If it is hard to capture, try another angle or a short video; we can suggest useful views. A verbal description alone is not enough to establish a qualifying defect. Complimentary replacement requires evidence showing a meaningful appearance or functional problem, rather than an insignificant production characteristic.

Do not install a damaged item solely to obtain photographs. Contact us for guidance.

Damage caused after delivery by improper handling, storage, cleaning, transportation, or installation is assessed separately from manufacturing quality.
