Returns, Cancellations & Order Changes
Our made-to-order items are created specifically for your order. For that reason, we do not accept returns or exchanges due to a change of mind or customer-submitted mistakes.
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or defective, please follow Inspecting Your Order & Reporting a Problem so we can review and resolve the issue.
Review your order before checkout
Please carefully check all wording, spelling, names, dates, artwork, colors, dimensions, quantities, and shipping information before placing your order.
Customer-submitted mistakes—including ordering the wrong size, selecting the wrong color, or submitting incorrect wording or artwork—do not qualify a made-to-order item for a return or exchange.
Contact us before ordering if you need help or have questions.
Cancellations and changes
Our automated production process begins promptly after an order is submitted. Once placed, made-to-order orders are final and cannot ordinarily be canceled or changed.
Please do not assume that an email requesting a change will stop production. Exceptions required by applicable law, including certain shipping-delay circumstances, remain available.
Stock accessories
We may consider return or exchange exceptions for smaller stock items, such as markers and hardware, on a case-by-case basis. Approval is not guaranteed.
Email hello@1801andco.com with your order number, the items involved, their condition, and the reason for your request.
We will explain any approved return conditions, shipping costs, or other applicable terms before you send anything back. Fees for discretionary returns do not apply to correcting a verified error caused by us.
Return authorization
Please do not return an item without our written approval. Sending an item back does not automatically qualify it for a refund or exchange.
Payment disputes and fraudulent claims
If you have a problem with your order, please contact us promptly so we have an opportunity to resolve it.
We do not tolerate knowingly false claims or fraudulent chargebacks intended to obtain merchandise without payment.
We maintain order, production, delivery, and communication records and may provide those records to payment providers when responding to a dispute. Where evidence supports intentional fraud, we will pursue appropriate remedies permitted by law, including legal action where warranted.
A good-faith dispute is not automatically fraud. This policy does not restrict lawful payment-dispute rights or other rights provided by applicable law.
